Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HealthCal.org (“the Site,” “we,” “our”), you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.
Who We Are
HealthCal.org is an independent, free-to-use health information platform operated by a small team of developers, researchers, and health professionals. The Site provides science-based health calculators and educational content for general wellness and informational purposes.
Use of the Site
HealthCal.org grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

The underlying mathematical formulas used in our calculators (e.g., Mifflin-St Jeor, Harris-Benedict) are established scientific methods in the public domain. However, our specific implementations, interfaces, descriptions, and supporting content are our proprietary work.
You may not reproduce, republish, scrape, mirror, or commercially exploit our content or tools without express written permission.

Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, HealthCal.org and its team members shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of health outcomes, financial loss, or any other damages — arising from your use of or inability to use the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Site shall not exceed $100 USD or the amount you paid to use the Site (which is zero, since the Site is free), whichever is greater.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HealthCal.org, its founders, team, advisors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your use of the Site, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation wherever possible. If legal proceedings are necessary, both parties agree to submit to the jurisdiction of a competent court.
